Student alerts in Aspen (those small icons that you click next to your student's name) provide valuable information about your students. Click here to see the full list of alerts and the information they contain.
They also provide critical information that impacts student learning. Failure to comply with them puts CCHS in a potentially litigious situation.
Don't see student alerts on your Student tab or GradeBook>Scores tab? Follow these directions to make sure you have access to this valuable information!

Enable Student Alerts:
1. While in Gradebook>Scores, click the cog.
2. Click the Student Information tab, and click Show student alerts:

Do you see alerts next to your students name while on your Student tab or GradeBook>Scores tab now? You are done!
I still don't see alerts! Change default field set views:
If enabling Alerts in your preferences didn't show the alerts, there is one more step. You are probably using a custom field set (or view). Follow the directions below to change your Field Set and see the alerts!
1. In Staff View>Student tab:
Click the Field Set icon next to the search box and filter.
Click on Default Fields to select it as your field set. Aspen will then refresh your page showing alerts and other fields that are part of the Default Fields set.
2. In the GradeBook>Scores tab:
Click the Field Set icon next to the search box and filter.
Click on Default Fields to select it as your field set. Aspen will then refresh your page showing alerts and other fields that are part of the Default Fields set.
Using the Default Fields sets in both places show Student Alerts where you spend most of your time. This will remain your default view until you change it!
I liked my Field Set (view) the way it was!
It is really critical that student alerts are easily visible and available to you! Take the 'Tell Aspen Who's the Boss' session during the Mini EdTech Camp on Tuesday, April 7th! We'll show you how to change your preferred field set (view) to include the student alerts! Or, schedule a quick 10 minute time with me to assist you with this change!
